Coach Esther has been involved with this team since day one, and is known for being involved in a zillion things and getting too little sleep! ? In her freshman year, Coach Esther helped start the Thunderbolt girls’ team and was one of the top Varsity Girls for the next four years. She never placed lower than 3rd place in a Varsity race and was the ACCE Varsity Girls State Champion twice. Her fondest memory was being part of the Thunderbolt Varsity Girl team that captured the ACCE State Championship title her senior year. A former home-school graduate herself, Esther enjoys the opportunity to give back to the home-school community and be involved with the Thunderbolt Athletes. Coach Esther stays more than busy with life, school, her nutritional business, coaching, politics, and running cross-country on scholarship with Brenau University.
Coach Hannah Garrison

Coach Hannah considers it an “[honor] to be your assistant coach this year!” This is her seventh year with the team – five years as an athlete and two as a coach. She split her time between JV and Varsity and was a top runner on both teams. Her sophomore year was the pinnacle for her – she set the league and Thunderbolt record for Varsity Girls AND was the ACCE JV Girl State Champion. Tearing her ACL while playing soccer, slowed her down a bit, but nevertheless, she persevered and came back to run two more seasons as one of the Thunderbolts top, most determined girls. Coach Hannah is currently a sophomore at Perimeter College in Lawrenceville where she is ambitiously pursuing Linguistics, French, and Spanish. She hopes to eventually work with Wycliffe overseas as a Bible translator.
